​Off the coast of West Africa the population depends on fishing as their main source of protein. Now their waters are taking over from European vessels using advance technology and massively fishing their waters leaving hundreds of thousands of people hungry every day.

For millions of years, the oceans have seemed like an  endless source and fish have been a part of our diet ever since we can remember. In recent times, reports have confirmed that the world’s oceans are in crisis. With more then 70 percent of the world’s commercial fish stocks are
now consider fully exploited, overfished, and/ or collapsed. A growing number of marine species are threatened by extinction and yet, the national marine fishery department last year allowed 90 million pounds of fish to be legally pulled out of the golf of Alaska.
